At 12 years old, John had the opportunity to work with his grandmother, a cook and banquet manager and even though his only task at that age was to wash dishes, he knew then he was destined to have a career in catering. His love for the industry was further strengthened when he would spend his teenage summers “down the shore” cooking in restaurants.
After graduating from high school, John attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island to fine-tune his cooking skills. While there, John served as a teaching assistant in the banquet department and went on to graduate with honors from the University’s Culinary and Foodservice Management program.
In late 2000, a friend asked John to cater a small family party. After that, John realized his true calling and John Serock Catering was born. For over 21 years, John has been servicing clients in Delaware, Chester, and Lancaster Counties and beyond. John has grown the business into a successful, in-demand company with a growing team.
